Recently, I have been given the opportunity to get a first hand look at what the custom wedding dress design process is really like, from muslin to fabric shops to fittings! Kpoene of Mignonette Bridal has asked me to document a bit of her design process with her clients and I have been loving getting to see how it all happens, firsthand. And the best thing about it? It’s so so fun!
Exploring Supreme Novelty Fabrics with brides, pulling out fabric after fabric, dreaming of the perfect dress! (Can’t I just get married again?!) I love having this opportunity to not only photograph brides, but get to shop yummy fabric with them too! It is a girly girl’s dream come true, having a custom wedding dress made! And since I’m already an old married lady, getting to come along for the ride with these brides is such a treat! Sometimes, I just want to run through all the fabric and play too! (Or at least pose in their huge amazing mirror…)

Here’s hoping you fit a little bit of girly fun into your day! (Or if that’s not your thing, here’s hoping you do any little something that makes your heart happy! )

Love the shout out from photographer/blogger Amanda Megan Miller on her experiences photographing brides as they shop for their custom wedding gown fabric with Kpoene Kofi-Nicklin of Mignonette Bridal at Supreme Novelty Fabrics.
