Engagement Session: Bridgette & Jess

One of my favorite parts of doing engagement sessions with my couples is getting to know them better before their big day…this was no exception with Bridgette and Jessica! I had a blast hanging out with them for the evening, wandering about the West Loop of Chicago, telling stories about our doggies, and talking flea markets. By the time we were finished taking photos, I felt like I had been hanging out with friends…not just clients. And not only do I get to become friends with my clients, I get to experience how they love each other. I get to see if they have a silly kind of love or if they love in a quiet thoughtful kind of way…every couple is different and getting to document their unique love stories is such a special thing. I loved that, in between giving me these fierce looks, Bridgette and Jessica couldn’t help but make each other laugh all session long, it felt so true to them and, not to mention, totally adorable!

These two are masterful crafters! Check out these adorable homemade puffy hearts…Not to mention, these incredible Halloween costumes, made by Jess! She could sell these things they are so amazing! (And I loved that they wanted to do some silly fun photos commemorating their awesome costumes, I am pretty sure all the passersby thought they were pretty darn cool too!)

Thank you Bridgette and Jessica for sharing your selves and your story with me, I absolutely cannot wait to hang out with you guys more and be a part of your wedding next year!
