Crystal and Tyler’s session was one part super adorable family session and one part lovey dovey engagement session, so I felt it was fitting to break it into two blog posts! Especially, since I found it very hard to narrow down my favorites to a manageable amount!
We started our day at Soldier Field, hoping to shoot in the colonnades, but little did we know they restrict access before game days. Even their daughter Clara’s precious face and Chicago Bears dress couldn’t get us past those locked up gates! But with a beautiful family on board and a gorgeous fall day on our hands, we decided to take advantage of the Museum Campus area surrounding the stadium…

Who knew there was this pretty little spot right up next to the stadium!? We joked about shooting in the mini ‘orchard’ as we tried to find a way into the colonnades, but I was all about it for a fantastic plan B!
Not to mention, there was some amazing light coming through our makeshift orchard!
While Rhiannon, the best big sister ever(!), played with Clara, walking through the trees and picking leaves, Crystal and Tyler took a stroll of their own through this perfect little spot…
And just when they thought they might be out of sight…
Seriously, is this not the prettiest little spot for some photos? At least when it’s not full of drunken football fans, I guess!
Before we left the stadium, Clara and Daddy had to show off their Bears pride a little more. Clara showed us her superb jumping skills, while Tyler showed off his sweet team kicks!
Crystal had some fabulous kicks, too! If I do say so, myself.
And before a stop for a mid-shoot hotdog, we ventured over to the lake to take in the sights. Pointing out all the birds, boats, and puppies as far as the eye can see!
Next up, it was Crystal and Tyler’s turn for a trip down memory…or shall I say, alleyway, lane. Part II coming your way this week!
