Family Love: The Smith Family

As part of the Wildflowers Workshop in Texas this Spring, the amazing Joy Harmon Prouty set up some beyond gorgeous shoots to inspire us and learn from. Inspire us, they did! And watching Joy shoot was an incredible learning experience! We did three shoots over the workshop weekend, and I can’t even pick favorites because each one was so very unique and beautiful! Our shoot with the Smith family was made especially beautiful by the love the family clearly shared for each other! Two perfectly adorable boys in tiny converse sneakers, a bed and breakfast owned by the Rachel Ashwell (the goddess of shabby chic!), a precious baby who never stopped smiling, an ice cream social (stocked with Texas-made Blue Bell ice cream), a vintage pink dress (that I would die to own!), and a rusted out old car that we just so happened upon in a field! Are you kidding me?! Life is good and photo shoots are amazing in Texas!

Before the evening was over, the Smiths made a quick wardrobe change to get some classic, not so super vintage (even though, I am of course partial to those!), images! You would think the kids would be over it at that point, but I think those kids would have posed all night long if we asked! And I think they ended up with some great timeless photos as well as some fantastically vintage photos! The best of both worlds! Thank you for being so amazing! And huge thanks to Joy (Wildflowers Photography) for setting up such a beautiful shoot!
