Indie Wed 2013: The AMM Booth!

So, you might be over all the Indie Wed talk around here this week, but I couldn’t help but do another post to show you my own booth at the show before coming down from my Indie Wed high! I had a little bit more space to work with this year and a lot more focus on what I wanted to achieve with it, so I had been planning this space for months…before I even knew if I was an accepted vendor of the show!

Ever since last year’s show, all I had been dreaming of was the perfect gold sequin backdrop to frame my space at the show! (To match my new website branding perfectly! Not to mention, indulging my love for all things sparkle!) And, thankfully, I found the perfect one to make my space everything I wanted it to be!   From the gold sequin backdrop to the perfect french provincial dresser to the fabulous ghost chairs, I couldn’t have been any happier with how it all turned out! I basically wanted to live inside my Indie Wed booth! (Especially since it was comprised of all things girly and sparkly that my spouse is not a fan of in our own home decor, I had to live out my decor dreams in my booth, if only for one day!)

So, without further adiu, click through for more of the AMM Indie Wed booth!

Narrowing down my favorite images from 2012 to be hung from my backdrop was probably the single hardest thing I had to do for Indie Wed this year! Once I crossed that huge hurdle, I was so very happy with how they looked against all the gold. (But what doesn’t look good against gold sequins, right?!) Especially, the french provincial dresser I found to use as the centerpiece of my booth. It was perfect for displaying photos and holding albums for attendees to peruse if they wanted. I also decided to add some modern ghost chairs to the space to keep the modern gold glam meets vintage vibe going in my booth. (The AMM behind the scenes crew insisted I have some chairs just in case preggo needed to sit down, but who needs to sit, I just wanted them because they looked so pretty!) Another fabulous accent to the space were my glow-y light jugs! I loved the way the light reflected off the shiny chairs and made the space feel warm!

The Indie Wed program was a fantastic addition to this year’s show, with extra space for attendee’s to keep notes as they went through the show. (Not to mention, I was in there too! Yay!)

Last year I gave out yummy candy and adorable ‘Keep Calm and Marry On’ stickers, but this year I wanted to give out something playful and more representative of my brand…so, why not give out some sparkle? Completely superfluous, but 100% me and oh-so-fun! I kept my favorite Kate Spade polka dot rose vase full of sparkle, throughout the day, to give out to attendees ‘in the event of spontaneous celebration’!

I’m convinced the crowning jewel of my Indie Wed space were the out of this world incredible florals by Pollen! I was at a loss for words when Lynn from Pollen handed them to me. They just went so perfectly against the gold!

I kept lots of sample albums on hand, in addition to an extra iPad for pulling up specific galleries to show attendees…

My lovely iPad frame kept a constant rotation of 2012 favorites playing for passer-byers to see…

The day flew by so quickly, I almost forgot to have someone snap a photo of me at my own booth! And to think I thought no one would want to talk to the preggo! It was an amazing whirlwind day…and I didn’t even feel tired at the end of it! I wanted the party to keep on going! (Preggo and all!)

Some of my favorite details of my booth that may have gone completely unnoticed by most were my gold edge painted business and pricing cards! I remember one girl excitedly pointed it out and I was instantly convinced we should be best friends, because anyone that appreciates those extra little gold details must be kindred!

Another favorite booth detail was my helper for the day! A crucial part of the AMM crew! My own mother. Yup, that’s her…the lady behind the bow tie baby shower extravaganza! Not only was she talking packages with couples and handing out cards, she was making sure I stayed hydrated and taken care of throughout the day! I honestly could not have done it without her there!

I also couldn’t have pulled off this year’s booth without the help of the pops! (The man behind the lovely glow-y light jugs in my booth!) But, what’s new?! He is always the crucial man behind the scenes, making sure I have what I need and that everything is just right! He meticulously hung canvas’s, drove out on day excursions to retrieve the perfect chairs for my booth, carried in all my booth furniture, and even made a last minute run to the store the morning of the show. To say I wouldn’t have a fabulous booth without him is an understatement! I am beyond lucky to have him for a father!

And this one! The final piece of the behind-the-scenes AMM crew puzzle! My amazing spouse, who I cannot even say enough about to fully explain how crucial she has been to my entire business journey! (And life!) Her endless support has kept me pushing no matter what, kept me upbeat when I let the lows get me down, kept me calm when I get too worked up for my own good, and essentially kept me doing what I love to do everyday. I wouldn’t be here without her, that’s for sure! So, I have to say thank you to her and my entire mini crew of the day! Indie 2013 was a huge success and it wouldn’t have been possible without them!

I’d also love to know how you hung the photos on the backdrop. I’m prepping for a wedding show myself and am stumped! Thanks! 🙂
