Martha Stewart’s Wedding Party 2017

A couple weeks ago was the party I wait on pins and needles for each year, the Martha Stewart Wedding’s Party in Chicago! If you follow me on Instagram (because that is where the real party is at!!), you have probably seen a lot of the fun from the party in my Instagram stories, but I also wanted to share in a bit of a more permanent way on the blog here.

Being a part of this year’s Martha Stewart’s Wedding Party was absolutely amazing, per usual, and is always such an honor, but I have to say that this year was even more exciting. I was not only asked to photograph the event, I was also asked to be a part of a ‘Local Experts’ Q&A Panel…and I have to say that I really really loved it! Being an all- things weddings resource to my couples is truly one of my favorite parts of my job, so getting to be a resource on a larger scale like that, to a room full (you guys, the room was full!) of engaged couples and industry people, felt great! (And totally has me jonesing to find other ways that I can participate in further ‘weddings 101’ type education, for newly engaged couples! Love it!)

After the panel, I spent most of the day photographing the event and having a blast with Darcy Miller of Martha Stewart Weddings (see her recap of the party here!)  and all of the #bossbabes who brought the party to life at the Radisson Blu this year! The Martha team (including the fabulous Anthony Luscia), the incredible Claudia Hanlin and Rebecca Lockward of The Wedding Library  and Meghan Andalman of Lovebird Events (we worked on THIS gorgeous wedding together!) always work so hard on making the party the best it can be and it shows! Kelly Marie of Fleur did not disappoint in the gorgeous blooms department, with lush greenery everywhere you looked, a beautiful affirmation floral wall, and an incredible tablescape that served as the focal point of the party! Elysia of Elysia Root Cakes stunned as always with her cakes, many with gorgeous handmade sugar flowers, hand marbling, and one that even looked like beautiful stained glass! Not to mention, they were oh so delicious. My boos over at Le Grand Courtâge kept the bubbly flowing and the insanely talented Elan Artists kept the party going with amazing live music. And, overall, everyone brought their A-game when it came to all the gorgeous wedding inspiration and putting on a fun event! So, click through to see what the Martha Party is all about!

(Extra special thanks to my favorite Julia for snapping the panel photos while I was up there!)

‘Til next year Martha Party!!!
