The Best Ding Dong Ditch Ever!

Yesterday was a first in our short time as homeowners…I was ding dong ditched for the first time! You know the silly prank where someone rings your door bell and runs away, leaving you confused when you open the door. Well, lucky for me, I was ding dong ditched in the best way possible…with presents!!! Now that is what I am talking about!

I know it was my birthday and I probably should have suspected something, but my spouse has an uncanny knack for pretending nothing is happening out of the usual and then she surprises me with one of those sneaky love attacks! She called me on the way home to let me know she would be late, but I thought nothing of it because I knew we had a busy day, a busy week, with no time for any sort of celebrations. So, I was completely surprised when I opened the door after the bell rang…not to mention, when she then jumped out of the bushes after a few minutes of my confusion and nearly gave me a heart attack! But a happy heart attack!

And even though Katrina thought I was turning a whole year older than I actually was and told everyone such, it was the sweetest surprise on a humdrum kind of birthday day! Complete with gorgeous flowers, my favorite pregger friendly/non caffeiene summer Starbucks drink (Passion Tea Lemonade, unsweetened), and the best part yet…a Ryan Gosling coloring book! Yes, you read that right! A Ryan Gosling coloring book! Talk about the best spouse ever!
