The Holiday Switch

Well, we did it! We officially and successfully hosted our first major holiday for our family in our home! Sparkling pumpkin apple cider, check! Yummy mashed potatoes, double check! Pretty rustic glam table settings, check that! Family and food galore, check check!!! And oodles of things to be thankful for, CHECK!

(Our Thanksgiving decor consisted of lots of burlap, neutral colors, gold pumpkins and pine cones like whoa, mercury glass, and vintage print place mats. Simple really, but I love it so!)

But, now that we pulled off Thanksgiving and I have squeezed every last bit of fall goodness out of the year, I am ready! Ready for the holiday switch! The turkey has been cooked, the pumpkins finally chucked, and my last pumpkin spice latte consumed, it is time. Time to commence Christmas-ing!!! Between quite a few engagement shoots this month, you will find me DIY-ing lots of new holiday decor for our home, taking a family trip to pick out our first REAL tree(!),  making homemade gifts for my loved ones, snuggling with my puppies by the fireplace ( that is, if we get it ready before winter really hits!), and ordering up lots of grande nonfat caramel brulee lattes! So much to look forward to! Let’s do this!

Mossy twigs, colorful berries, pine cones, evergreen boughs, and even garden supplies like wooden crates, galvanized buckets, and burlap can all be pressed into holiday service.
