Things I Love: Last-Minute Stocking Stuffer Edition

My absolute favorite part of Christmas gifting is stocking stuffers, hands down! Stocking them AND getting them! Growing up, it seemed like we always saved our stockings for last when opening gifts (Mostly because I think I went straight for the big goodies under the tree, forgetting about the stockings hung nearby.) and they were always like a forgotten little surprise at the end of the gift opening whirlwind. Christmas stockings were like the icing on the cake! And I still love them just as much. Picking out fun little surprises, unique gifts, and favorite candies for my spouse’s stocking is just so much fun at this time of year.

So, seeing as it is the Thursday before the holiday, I thought I would share some awesome last-minute stocking stuffers that you can surprise your loved ones (or me!) with in their stockings on Christmas morning! (Feel free to adapt all the girly and gold stuff into a far less girly form for the men in your life.)

Gift cards

I know, it’s an obvious stocking stuffer, but everybody loves a loaded Starbucks or iTunes card in their stocking! It’s the gift that keeps on giving…till you use it all up! 🙂

Starbucks Gold Hammered Coffee Tumbler

For a coffee lover like me, an adorable new coffee tumbler would be a perfect addition to their stocking on Christmas morning. And you can get cute coffee tumblers anywhere from Target to your local Starbucks! I spotted this one last weekend and totally fell in love with the chic hammered gold look.

Chevron Gold iPhone Cover

Totally adorable, right?! And everyone’s phone needs a little facelift now and again. Sadly, my much loved Kate Spade gold striped phone cover was not the best at actually protecting your phone and it finally bit the dust from one too many falls. Granted, Spade is my go-to for cute iphone covers, I’ve found the stretchy rubber like iphone covers to be best and Target has some adorable new iphone 5 covers that would make perfect stocking stuffers.

Nifty Gadgets

Mini gadgets make fantastic stocking stuffers. These backup iphone batteries from J Crew are cute to boot! But Walgreens and other local stores always have similar gadgets around the holidays that you can stuff in your techie loved one’s stocking.

Travel or full sized makeup favorites are a lovely surprise in your stocking (coming from a makeup obsessed girly girl that is)! Even a few new chapsticks or lip glosses from the drugstore are a nice find in your stocking on Christmas morning, but if you really love your makeup-loving gal…pop into Sephora and go for the good stuff, like this perfect limited edition palette from Nars.

 Adorable Mittens

I don’t know about you, but I am always losing my gloves and mittens throughout the winter, so an extra pair of cute mittens in my stocking would be a delightful surprise. Kate Spade always has super adorable winter accessories like these Hi 5 Mittens, but for the last minute shopper, hit up Target or Nordstroms for some cute gloves and hats.

And don’t forget the easiest stocking stuffers for last minute shoppers, your loved one’s favorite candy! So, go crazy! And definitely let me know in the comments what you like to get (or give) as stocking stuffers!

LOVE this! I’ve been eyeing those iPhone chargers from J.crew for a while! So cute & functional!

Love all these! We always put presents in each other’s stockings during the weeks leading up to Christmas instead of on Christmas morning. Leave it to the Wakefields to blaze their own trail. And…I think I need those mittens. 🙂
