Things I Love: Real Guilty Pleasures Edition

Today, I woke up with the same song in my head that has been stuck there for over a week! Gah! And the worst part is that I am totally embarrassed to admit what that song is. But, instead of playing it over and over in my head, I decided to throw it out there, embrace the embarrassment, and share a few of my guilty pleasures of the moment with you!

Taylor Swift’s ‘We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together’ 

Now, don’t get me wrong…I love me some Taylor Swift and, generally, am not ashamed to say it, but this song is just so ridiculous! And yet…it is so darn catchy! I can’t get it out of my head! Touche, Taylor, touche!

‘Cheater Recipes’

Any recipe with a shortcut or store bought item as the main component is right up my alley! It’s all about the presentation and the taste, so any way I can make the cooking or baking process easier (and less messy) for myself, I am all about it! I do feel like I am ‘cheating’ most of the time, but, hey, no one has to know! (Well, except everyone that reads my blog…) Last night, I made these little cheater Pumpkin Pie Croissants to bring to our SHARE group tonight (the cheat is using store bought crescent rolls, so easy peasy!).

Pretty Little Liars

I’m not even going to front here, I have been watching this show since it started! Admittedly, I have a slight tendency to veer into the pre-teen television category, but how can you not when it is THIS good?! Okay, okay, maybe it isn’t that good, but it is definitely entertaining and I love scoping out all the girls’ fashion on the show, even when they are really out there. Sick of having to hide my Pretty Little Liars guilty pleasure, I tried to con the spouse into watching an episode with me a few weeks ago by positioning the show as a murder mystery show, it went something like, “You know…it’s like all those unsolved crimes shows! A girl was killed and they don’t know who did it! So, now, they are trying to find out and solve the crime!” Well, that only got me so far, I’m pretty sure Katrina bailed out only 5 minutes in, exclaiming that she couldn’t believe this show was on the ABC Family channel and something about ‘What is the world coming to!?’ But, don’t listen to her folks…this is quality guilty pleasure entertainment here! (Hey, I need something to watch when Real Housewives isn’t on!) So, someone please tell me I’m not the only one with this embarrassing show on their DVR list!
