Wedding Bells: Christine & Evan – Chateau del Mar

Christine & Evan’s gorgeous wedding at the Chateau del Mar was so much fun, I really don’t think I have seen that much dancing at a wedding in a while!

Their ceremony was full of heartfelt tears and so much love. After their very touching “I do’s,” they were just absolutely elated to be married and ready to celebrate! The smiles on their faces were bigger than ever when they looked at each other! They did it! And they were ready to have an amazing evening with all of their family and friends.

Christine looked like a radiant bride from the moment I stepped in the door, without even putting on her gown or finishing her hair. She had that happy bride ‘glow’ and looked beautiful!

Flower girls have to look their best too!

Evan spent the morning at their home with his groomsmen, cracking jokes and hanging out, while my second shooter, Nikki, documented their antics.

Evan, looking dapper…

And finally ready to see his bride!

Tears were flowing from the moment Christine began to walk down that aisle…

And her dad looked oh-so-proud to walk her down that aisle!

They said their “I do’s” and it felt meant to be….

The Komosa family! Christine, Evan, and their son, Daniel.

The morning weather may have started out a bit drippy and grey, but after their ceremony, the sun came out and it was a beautiful day!

I can’t get enough of those genuine looks of love between them! Just beautiful.

And then it was off to the venue for cocktail hour…

Can you guess what Evan does for a living by the decor? Megan of M. De Masi Designs created such unique Chicago Police Department table numbers and place cards for their wedding, not to mention the gorgeous invitations and programs. The table numbers were different districts in Chicago, so fun!

The floor to ceiling windows at the Chateau del Mar made my natural light loving heart go pitter patter! The venue was full of so much pretty light as guests strolled in for cocktail hour.

I love shooting multiple weddings within families or groups of friends, it is so fun to catch up with past brides and grooms. I shot James and Olivia’s wedding last year and it was go great to see them! (Happy Anniversary, you guys!) Love this photo of them!

While guests mingled and found their tables, I stole Christine & Evan away for a couple quick photos at their amazing venue! This beautiful chaise was calling to me from the moment we stepped into the place, so, of course, I had to have Christine show off her gorgeous self while lounging on it.

Christine & Evan in the pretty hallway leading to their reception room…those chandeliers were amazing!

Love these next two shots! (And it is a fantastic example of what working together with a second shooter looks like for portraits. While I was getting the intimate close shot on the right, my second shooter was getting low to get the beautiful full-length shot on the left.)

Then it was time for lots of cake and one big party!

Young and old were out on the dance floor, showing off their moves!

The party was nonstop and just what they wanted! Congratulations Christine & Evan! Live it up, you married lovebirds!

Arn’t the windows amazing?! I was running around like a little kid in a candy store taking photos during cocktail hour with all that pretty light coming in!
