Wedding Bells: Crystal & Tyler – Mayne Stage

Kicking off this year’s wedding season with Crystal & Tyler’s Mayne Stage wedding was an absolute perfect start to the year! Ever since Crystal and Tyler’s engagement session with their ever-precious children, Rhiannon and Clara, last fall, I have been so very excited for their wedding. Right away, I could see how laid back and fun loving they were, not to mention how much they really value their oh-s0-adorable family unit! And I have to say, their wedding was a true testament to that! From visiting their self-proclaimed ‘love alley’ and the place they first met (see below!) to having the stories of how their family unit came to be incorporated into their ceremony and wedding, Crystal & Tyler’s wedding was unequivocally a true representation of them as a couple…and as a family.

The day began with Crystal getting ready at her hotel with all her sisters, bridesmaids, and as many family members the room could fit! The feelings of love and excitement for her in that room were palpable!

After a final champagne toast, Crystal’s mom made sure to help her with her finishing touches.

Crystal had such beautiful treasures and heirlooms weaved into both her accessories and the ceremony, like this beautiful ring box.

And Grandpa’s Cubs pin!

I am so happy we took a few minutes for some photos of Crystal and her daughter, Rhiannon, because these two have such a beautiful mom and daughter relationship that I just love photographing them together!

But, while the girls scrambled to finish hair and makeup, the guys were kicking back doing what guys do…

(I was so grateful to have Nikki Evans on board to second shoot, hang with the guys in the afternoon, and capture their antics!)

Crystal’s wedding gift to Tyler was this very cool pocket watch, with the inscription, “Always and Forever 3-31-12.” Just perfect!

Since Crystal & Tyler were having both their ceremony and reception at Mayne Stage, we spent the afternoon traipsing through the city, taking photos, before the big event. First up, their ‘love alley’, which they walked up and down to see each other, on a daily basis, when they were first dating.

These two were absolutely giddy to see each other and have a little alone time for photos, it was beyond adorable!

And, of course, we stopped into the bar where they first met. Crystal got behind the bar, like she was when Tyler first walked into her life, but this time around, Tyler decided to just go for it, right away!

After a couple drinks, it was off to the lakefront for some wedding party fun and photos!

How cute are Crystal’s mismatched bridesmaids, styled to perfection?!

After braving the brisk weather, everyone piled into the limo and headed to the venue for the wedding! Some quick touch-ups, a little glass clinking, and it was time!

Crystal & Tyler took the stage in front of their loved ones and promised each other, forever.

I absolutely love the look on Rhiannon’s face. She looked so truly happy for her mother throughout the entire ceremony. (This may or may not be why I started to tear up before they even got to their vows, yup!)

And Clara stole the show, preciously voicing her approval, now and again.

They did it! And the girls joined them center stage to celebrate…

But, before turning over the stage to the band and getting the party started, we made sure to grab one gorgeous photo of Crystal looking all kinds of amazing!

And then, it was party time! First up, Crystal & Tyler’s first dance…

Eventually, they were joined by the girls too…

Then We, Unity Candle took the stage, playing all my 90’s ‘jams,’ and getting everybody on their feet!

Congrats Crystal and Tyler! (And Rhiannon and Clara, too!) I truly loved getting to be a part of such a special day in your lives, thank you!
