A few weeks ago, I had the super fun opportunity to shoot another wedding with the crazy talented Sarah Barlow. It was such a fun night and I’m so glad we were able to catch up, post-internship! I met Sarah at Hillary’s house in Oak Park, which just so happened to be right next door to Sarah’s childhood home! So, I was instantly excited to be with Sarah shooting a wedding of some old friends and knew it was bound to be a great day!

Hillary and Jorge were married in the breathtakingly beautiful St.Giles church. I honestly couldn’t believe my eyes when we stepped inside!

Both Hillary’s father and mother looked proud as can be to walking their gorgeous daughter down the aisle on her wedding day!

During the ceremony, what sounded like torrential rains fell outside the church, but by the time we left, the sun was breaking through the sky perfectly!

We were lucky enough to have ample time between the ceremony and reception, so we could go off and get some special portraits of the adorable Hillary and Jorge. They were so happy to be together and truly enjoying every moment of their special day as it came.

Upon our return to the beautiful reception space at The Lodge in Oak Brook (attached to and owned by McDonald’s Headquarters!), we found the guests having a lovely time at the outdoor cocktail hour and ready for some dancing…even Grandma.

After dinner, Pastor Ed was the first one to kick off every dance. He boogied to ‘Brick House’, got down to the Black Eyed Peas, and even single handedly started the conga line of the night. Sarah and I had a blast watching him live it up, allllll night long! Best pastor ever!

And then the time came…

You would have never known the venue was owned by McDonald’s until almost the very end of the night, when these make a much awaited appearance. I posted a photo of these wedding guest stars to my facebook page the night of the wedding from my iphone, and people were decidedly not a fan of the idea. But if only they could see the guests reactions! I have never seen guests so excited for a late night snack ever!!! It was such a fun night and this was the icing on the cake.
