I have been looking forward to Shirley and Mason’s wedding for months! Ever since their Hyde Park engagement session, where we visited all the spots in which their relationship first started, from the coffee shop they met at to the streets they would walk everyday while dating. I had the best time getting to know them over the course of their session and getting to photograph them on their anniversary, of all days! I quickly discovered that Shirley and Mason were truly the sweetest lovebirds there are! And I was honored to get to be a part of their big day at The Bristol a a little over a week ago.

Ahh-mazing flowers by Forget Me Knodt absolutely made the day! From the gorgeous bouquets to the breathtaking arrangements at the venue, the flowers were just perfect! Even Shirley got emotional when they arrived and she saw just how truly beautiful they were!

After some gorgeous portraits and much needed hydration on that hot Chicago day (thanks to my rock star second shooter, Suzy!), it was off to Hyde Park to get married!
They did it!
Most adorable flower girl ever! Okay, I know I say that a lot, but seriously…look at this face!
Visiting some more special spots on the University of Chicago campus, where they met…
And then off to The Bristol for some awesome food, delicious cake, and lots of dancing!
Have I mentioned how amazing the flowers were?! I wanted to photograph them all day!
All the places were perfectly set and guests took their seats, as Shirley and Mason had a bit of a bonus ceremony, receiting their vows for all to hear.
They have surely sealed the deal now! And I think the guests really enjoyed having this special moment to start off the reception celebration…

The Bristol had this dreamy warm light with all the candles lit and the sun setting outside the windows. Such a romantic atmosphere!
After some hilarious speeches and an adorable first dance, this crowd was ready to party! And the awesome Erica of Toast & Jam kept the tunes going all night long!
I told you! They were ready to dance, dance, dance!
What a perfect end to Shirley and Mason’s wonderful wedding, having a blast and dancing the night away!
Shirley and Mason, thank you so much for sharing your special day with me! I’m sure you will have so many wonderful new life adventures in LA together, enjoy every minute of it! Wishing you lots of luck and love!
